ROLE: SPECIFICATION SALES

The company is celebrating a decade of revolutionising picture light and gallery spotlight design and offering an unrivalled quality of service to its clients. Over ten years it has created a range of specialist light fittings that create true representation by emitting the full spectrum of colour. We are growing the the team and we have an exciting opportunity to help expand the business into the next decade, we are seeking a new team member in a Specification Sales role.

The primary function of this role is to meet with specifiers and and perform the proactive sales function in the business. With a minimum of 5 years experience in sales within the lighting industry, the candidate would have good connections with Lighting Designers, Interior Designers and Architects. Secondly to this, and specific to TM Lighting, is to meet clients with significant art collections, and to help them understand the importance of good art lighting will not only transform the collection, but also the home.

This role will be predominantly out of the office meeting clients, with touch points in the office as necessary. This role would be best suited to a confident, outward going person, with strong organisational skills.

Key responsibilities:

  • Meet and exceed sales targets
  • The principle role is to build long term relationships with Lighting Designers, Interior Designers and Architects
  • Introduce our range of Art Lighting Products and seek specification sales opportunities
  • Ensure the pipe line is well fed
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest product development within the business and technology within the industry
  • Be well informed on best practice and industry regulations
  • Assist with technical queries as necessary
  • Communicate effectively with the rest of the team about opportunities and ensure effective transfer of information to production
  • Build quotations
  • Represent the Company in a positive and professional manner at all times; adhering to our company values

Skills and experience:

  • Experience working within lighting, or associated industry such as interiors
  • Experience of working in a high-end/ luxury client-facing role, understanding of clients’ requirements (desirable)
  • Excellent communication & organisational skills and attention to detail

Design Manager

ROLE: DESIGN MANAGER

We have an exciting opportunity for a Design Manager with 7+ years experience.

The role is focused on the management of the design department to develop, improve and oversee the design of our range of architectural LED lighting products.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead a team to design and develop new products
  • Lead on-going and incremental product updates
  • Ensure that all new and improved products are correctly documented by the team – drawings, spec sheets and MRP/ERP entries
  • Liaise with key clients on custom projects
  • Liaise with the Procurement team and Suppliers/Manufacturers on product design and tolerance issues and pricing
  • Oversee CE/UKCA/UL/ETL testing and approval of new product designs
  • Oversee prototyping, product and component testing and propose design modifications where required
  • Manage design documentation, product marking/labelling and technical documentation and ensure this is up to date
  • Support the sales team to answer design related technical queries
  • Take ownership of queries and follow through to completion.

Skills and experience:

  • Team management
  • 3D modelling software – SolidWorks
  • Product engineering/manufacturing processes/techniques
  • MRP/ERP software systems and production of BOM’s
  • BoM’s/design documentation
  • Product testing
  • CE/UL/ETL Testing/BS standards
  • Problem -solving capabilities
  • Sound knowledge of LED technology & electronics
  • Knowledge of thermal analysis software & heat testing

Marketing Coordinator

ROLE: MARKETING COORDINATOR

TM Lighting is an entrepreneurial, UK leading business that specialises in the design and manufacture of specialist art lighting products for the art market and luxury sectors.

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Coordinator to plan and implement a targeted marketing campaign to engage relevant audiences, build brand awareness to help sustain leading status in the marketplace, identify opportunities to gain competitive advantage, and support achieving sales targets. The role requires an in-depth understanding of the market, audiences and unique proposition of the company’s products and services. The candidate will work with the Directors to help develop and implement a strategic marketing plan including budgeting, and external resources (PR, social media, media buying, events, design and print).

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effectively manage the Marketing function, budget and campaign delivery.
  • Network within the industries to gain contacts, build industry knowledge and understand how we maintain a competitive edge in attracting audiences across each client base; Lighting Designers, Interior Designers, Private clients, Historic Houses, Galleries and Institutions.
  • Analyse previous campaigns and undertake research to understand the products and audiences fully.
  • Provide strategic insight to support the development of the business in both the short, medium and long term and produce the marketing budget with the Founding Directors.
  • Plan and implement marketing campaigns in liaison with the Sales/Design Team.
  • Produce material to support key event partners and provide creative input into potential sponsorship agreements.
  • Plan and implement product marketing campaigns including product launch, print and online advertising, direct mail, email, sales promotions and partnerships, social media and PR campaigns.
  • Develop and agree briefs for external agencies and suppliers including; creative, print and media buying and PR.
  • Appoint and manage agencies and suppliers, securing comparative, best-buy deals on an on-going basis.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with industry partners, trade associations and other relevant professional organisations.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of client and comms databases.
  • Produce post-campaign reports, analysing the effectiveness of the campaigns, and make informed recommendations for their strategic development.
  • Manage and execute the company social media – platforms, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Linked IN

SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • Ambition to grow and develop the brand within the art market and luxury sectors
  • Strong analytical marketing skills
  • Creative and strategic thinking
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Good understanding of all marketing channels, particularly email marketing, social media, direct marketing and data
